I also figured out what I'm going to do for Halloween (in a flash of brilliance as I was getting into bed at 5:00am). I'm going to take a plain shirt, decorate it properly, and be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The book, not the book about the book. It will be awesome. I may have to print out some of the passages from the Guide and quote them to people, as well.

So, as a graduation present I got this $20 visa gift card thing. I've decided that I need to use it to buy myself something special and happy-making.

Thursday after work I got together with Lin. We met up at Borders and looked at manga. (I think I'm going to go back and get that copy of Yellow we were looking at. My life needs more yaoi right now.) Talked some, got dessert. When they started closing, we went to Steak n' Shake. I had chicken fingers and shared the fries with Lin. I was also incredibly stupid and got regular coffee at 11pm. Idiot. Finished eating about midnight and considered give my email to the cute boy at the register, but forces conspired against me. No, seriously. And I'm not sure giving my email to a random boy is such a great idea, especially two weeks before I leave for Cleveland. Lin and I were heading out to leave and still talking. About 12:30 we went back into Steak n' Shake to use the bathroom. Continued talking in the parking lot until 2am. Oops. Decided that we ought to go home because it was late and we were being silly. It was really nice talking, though. I'm sad I don't get to see Lin as much as I used to. Called Andrew on the drive home and ended up talking with him until 3am or so. Plotted to take over the world. Also got online and such. Continued screwing around until 4am (way too much coffee) when I decided that I would get pills for my headache (allergy-induced) and sleep because I needed to get up early to do things before I went to work in the afternoon. Listened to the storm for a while. It was soothing and helped me sleep. Only managed 4 or so hours. Wasn't happy about that.

Friday I sat around reading for a while. Put in 3 hours at work. Went straight to the Gathering. Was late, but other people arrived after me so I didn't feel bad. Had lots of fun. At one point I was talking with Elan and we were worried that we lost Bella and didn't want her to be all lost, so we grabbed Tiffany Curls (where did that name come from?) and found her talking with people. Decided to go to the park where Amanda and Kelli went to play earlier. Talked for a long time. All sorts of things. Pookie and Kelli walked over to find us. Pookie had to take Elan home at some point, so we went back (without letting Pookie eat the MilkBones) and hung around the fire more. Sharon (Cloud) showed up for a bit. She's pretty cool. Didn't get a chance to talk to her at ColossalCon. Or much at the Gathering, but eh. She did unhook my bra (and all the other bras) and kiss all the girls. Hee. Snuggled with Kelli all night. Enjoyed that. Was sleepy and confused most of the morning. Didn't take any pictures, though Pache's daddy thought that I was being adorable when I was trying to be dead under the tree. Pookie thought that he needed to prod me with his foot. Had yummy eggs and bacon made over the fire. And in the fire. Silly boys made the bacon grease all burny. Left early because Amanda's mommy came by then.

Did things at home. Cleaned and such. Took my little sister to church camp on Sunday. Lake Erie was all smelly. Today I stopped by OLE for my diploma (yay!) and went to the bank and Target (got a pretty carpet) and then work. It wasn't so bad. A quiet day.

No work tomorrow. Want to go out and play in the evening. Who's free?

Interesting. Take a bunch of really common person-elements and throw them together to get something truely exceptional... that's you. I never did get to sleep last night. No ideo why. I was fine through the morning, but now I'm falling apart. I need to make dinner. Mommy wants me to make something special, but I feel like crap. Laura did grocery shopping, so maybe I can manage something out of that.

Went shopping with Dimmie today. Stopped at Summit Mall to deal with stuff to be returned to JC Penney only to reallize the one near here is at Chapel Hill. Oops. We checked out Spenser's, Hot Topic, and the kiosks for bellybutton thingies. Didn't find much nice, but I did get a little barbell with a reddish-pink jewel for only $4. Most things these days have dangly things and I don't really like those. Also bought blue and red hair dye for Melodie to play with when I go to her place, as well as bleach to prep my hair the day before. She was working, so I talked to her for a bit.

Then we went by PainHatePain in Highland Square, the new tattoo place. Very nice, very sterile. It smells good. Really nice feeling inside. I filled out forms (after walking to the bank because they apparently don't take personal check), got lectured on care, and was set. The guy cleaned the area, stuck the needle through (an interesting feeling, more intense than a needle going in for injections), pulled the barbell through, and was done. It was fun. Kinda hurts now. Dimmie took pictures for me. Will upload them... later. when I'm not so tired.

Can't sleep. Started browsing WaxI an hour or so ago. Thought I'd share the link and my thoughts here for some of my friends who don't brunch.

So, friday morning I'm getting all my things together and I get a call from Pache. We can't check into the room because you have to be 21. She told them when she registered that she was 18. Dicks. Ari provided a guy over 21 to check in and we gave him free crash space for the favor. Went up with Lin (thanks for the ride!), Kristy, and Amanda. We sang 99 bottles of sake on the wall, leaving one for the ride back. Once we got all of our stuff into the room and we got changed out of travel clothes and into HAWT SEX con clothes, we hit the floor. Got our passes, talked with people, hit the dealer's room. I bought a dagger. It's pretty. There will be pictures soon. Went to the Peelander-Z concert for a bit. That was wayfun. Pache, Amanda, and I joined Bryan on his run to Severence Hall to get his paycheck. We also got lunch at Skyline Chili. It was... interesting. I'm not a huge chili fan as it is, and their chili didn't have any beans or veggies. The spices were good, though. Went to Hentai Havoc and got to play. Not nearly as dirty as I'd hoped it was. Still, it was fun. I had clues to read that described an anime character and they were rather dirty taken out of context. It was very fun. I got two little figurines. Haven't opened the boxes yet. Got pocky (strawberry, the good kind with the crunchy bits) and blackblack in the dealer's room as well. Covered Lin's table for her for a bit. Made a bet with Ryan that I would get laid. Box of pocky was up. It was then upped to a bishonen. Got all pretty for the rave after Hentai Havoc. Put on jeans, boots, and my prettified bra. Xandra fussed at me to put clothes on. Danced a bunch. Made "Kiss me I'm Irish" boy a target. Finally worked up the nerve to go dance on him. We turned to each other at almost exactly the same time. There was dancing for about 5 minutes and it was *hot* dancing. And then? He leaves. Bastard. Later Bryan and I showed Pache porn. It was fun. And then I put a shirt on and we went to Denny's. Mmmm, hash browns. And ham. Before we went back to the hotel to sleep, Bryan, Pache, Other Ryan, and I went to Parma so Bryan could get his swim trunks and fuzzy bondage cuffs. Got back about 3:30. Sleep didn't happen until around 4:30. Bryan is cuddlyfun.

I think this is the fourth time I've started this post. The other times I got bored or distracted. Yesterday was really good. I did errands with Emmy. We made cookies and talked a lot. Discussed many things. After that I went to Angel Falls. I got there late, but Blake ended up getting there way later. While I was waiting for him, I called Pache and talked to her some about the whole thing. Ended up also calling Ryan to find out exactly what he'd told Blake about Bryan and all of that stuff. Still don't really see if he was checking me out that much. Ehh. I was a bit mean to Ryan about giving Amanda his number. But the phone call will happen. Ran into Jess Morton while I was there. She's still hot. I still have a crush on her. We exchanged phone numbers. Will do something this summer. Will *so* get into her pants! No relationship, though. Too messy. Also talked to DJ for a bit. Haven't seen him in forever. DJ's awesomeness. Blake, of course, walks in while I'm talking to DJ. But that wasn't an issue. It was over in about three seconds. I said that I thought we shouldn't date anymore, he said ok. I was expecting him to fight it a bit, but he took it really well. All he asked was if there was another guy. I didn't mention that I got Jess's number while waiting for him. We talked a bit and then went home. I did talk to him in the evening. Still friends, yay! And that's really it. I'm pleased. It was a total load off.
